textPlus Launches International Calling for Android Devices

There was time when international calling used to be very expensive. People used to think so much before dialing to their loved ones based abroad. But now, making international calls is easy and inexpensive with new VoIP telephony in the international calling market.

Facing cutthroat competition, many telecommunication companies are introducing lower international call rates for its landline customers. textPlus is one of the first to do so.

A reputable provider of free mobile communications, textPlus has introduced reduced call rates for Android (News - Alert) users based in the U.S. and Canada. The company says that with new call plan, Android users in the U.S. and Canada can make calls starting at just two cents per minute to any international mobile or landline number.

If you compare call rates with other mobile providers, textPlus rates are 10 times less expensive per minute than a typical international calling rate. In addition, in-network calls to other textPlus users remain free anywhere in the world.

textPlus globalizes communication on typical smartphones and turns tablets into fully functional calling devices without the hassle or additional expense. Users can also earn free credits and purchase more from inside the app to make low-cost international calls.

This service can be used over Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G or LTE (News - Alert) on Android phones or tablets.

textPlus has also launched a major update to its iOS version that is faster and provides a unified inbox so users can text, talk and share from one place. International calling for iOS users will launch in early 2013.
