LA-based Venture 3D, a stereoscopic 3D conversion production company, is using the Media Shuttle hybrid SaaS (News - Alert) file transfer solution supplied by Signiant to collaborate with partners in Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul and Korea regarding a new feature film.

A specialist in intelligent file movement software for media and entertainment, Signiant has designed Media Shuttle hybrid SaaS for workflows that require the easy delivery of massive files. Its IT management features will allow Venture 3D to enhance its operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Venture 3D has done conversion work for popular movies like Titanic 3D and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The company will now be leveraging Media Shuttle to deliver the film, Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons.

Todd Cogan, SVP, Operations, Venture 3D said, "What we needed was a tall order -- the ability to transfer large files quickly, access them anywhere, control and track file access and not be limited by the size of the file or the number of people that could access those files."
As the company sought a solution to move massive files of 200-300 GB in a single transfer to multiple locations in Asia without the administrative constraints of FTP, Venture 3D selected Signiant's Media Shuttle.
This also gives Venture 3D full control over who can access a client's high-value-assets, the time duration and who can set limits on their permission to access files.
"Using Media Shuttle we are able to go outside of our circle of local partners to expand our business in Asia, while making the workflow process extremely easy for our clients. Solutions we have used in the past made content delivery laborious and cost intensive but with Media Shuttle we are able to move content efficiently and affordably," Cogan added.
Media Shuttle's onboard checkpoint restart feature automatically retries or resumes transfers in case of interruption. Also, e-mail notifications will be sent to alert users on completing content delivery. Media Shuttle features a graphical dashboard which will provide Venture 3D with complete visibility covering file transfer activity, average transfer rate, file size and speed, said officials.
Signiant recently announced several enhancements to its award-winning Media Shuttle hybrid SaaS file sharing solution. The new features have expanded its capabilities to help media enterprises grappling with the challenge of delivering large videos or other massive files fast, easily and securely over private networks and the public Internet.
