Three Award Programs Recognize Companies Committed to Diversity, Social Responsibility and Positive Company Culture

Norwalk, CT, October 17, 2016- TMC, a global, integrated media company helping clients build communities in print, in person and online, today announced a series of recognition programs to highlight technology companies committed to Workplace Excellence.

Within the TMCnet Workplace Excellence Awards series, there will be three specific programs: Tech Culture Awards, Tech Diversity Awards and Social Responsibility Awards.

Application details and deadlines can be found at http://techculture.tmcnet.com.

Each program will require companies to complete a detailed questionnaire, stating their case, and proving their dedication to their employees and communities. TMCnet's editors and judges will vet the applications and determine the list of winners for each award.

"It is well-documented that when considering an employment opportunity, many in today's workforce place as much importance on a company's values as they do on their own salary and title," explained Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC (News - Alert) and TMCnet's Group Editor-in-Chief.

"We invite technology firms that are in a constant battle to attract the best and brightest applicants to prove their commitment to culture, diversity, and social responsibility. Show the most valued candidates that your firm sets an example in the community and provides the best possible environment for your team members," Tehrani continued.

TMCnet Workplace Excellence Award for Tech Culture: This award recognizes the best-of-the-best work cultures within the technology sector. Honoring organizations committed to continuously improving the work-life balances of their employees including, but not limited to, growth potential, onsite culinary and recreational benefits, team-building atmosphere, flexible hours, tuition and training programs, and attractive investment options, this award will distinguish technology organizations seeking to attract top talent.

TMCnet Workplace Excellence Award for Tech Diversity: Harvard Business Review surveyed 1,800 professionals and found companies with more diverse management are more innovative and perform better than their peers. Similar research has shown a direct link between increased diversity and similar levels of creativity and ease in hiring talent. Yet, with all this research to support diversity, many were quite shocked last year when it was revealed the combined black workforces of many of the world's largest tech companies could fit on a single jumbo jet. The TMCnet Workplace Excellence Award for Tech Diversity highlights companies that are doing their best to improve opportunity for all - regardless of sex, race, or sexual orientation, and we urge the companies looking to make a difference to apply.

TMCnet Workplace Excellence Award for Social Responsibility: This award focuses on social responsibility - the simple idea that businesses should balance profit-making activities with activities that benefit society, the environment and the community. The International Organization for Standardization emphasizes that the relationship to the society and environment is "a critical factor in their ability to continue to operate effectively. It is also increasingly being used as a measure of their overall performance." Companies that can provide specific and measurable examples of programs that benefit society, the environment and their communities should apply for this award.

Winners of 2017 TMCnet Workplace Excellence Awards will be featured in an extensive media campaign highlighting their achievements, including the differentiating factors that led to their selection. In addition, each winning company will receive unlimited license to the award logo for use in all marketing and PR efforts.
