Telcordia's Hosted Solution Enables MVNOs Capitalize on Target Markets

Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) tend to tailor their offerings to targeted demographic groups.  This helps entice customers who otherwise might not sign up for wireless service to sign a contract — and once they’re locked in, odds are they will like the mobility and will continue the service once their contract expires.  Boosted by their ability to effectively market to select audiences, MVNOs find their businesses growing in popularity.


 
Other MVNOs find rewards in the ability to extend their brands and open up new revenue opportunities without incurring the costs associated with building and managing prepaid network infrastructure.

 
Telcordia, which provides network software and services for IP, wireline, wireless, and cable networks, has been chosen by Total Call Mobile, a mobile telecommunication services provider for both business and residential customers, to implement Telcordia’s Telcordia Hosted Solution for MVNOs in support of Total Call Mobile’s prepaid mobile phone service launch.
 
Total Call Mobile selected Telcordia because it has a proven track record and displayed the willingness and ability to assist in rapid and cost effective deployment of prepaid services.

Total Call Mobile is an MVNO services provider offering prepaid and postpaid wireless voice and data communications services targeting the expanding multi-cultural ethnic groups in America.  Total Call Mobile’s services are provided using Sprint (News - Alert)’s Nationwide PCS network.

All Total Call Mobile phones include International Direct Dial with simply the touch of a button, and customers can receive native language Customer Service, including the following languages: Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog and English.  Total Call Mobile branded phones are available in select retail stores across the nation, as well as through wireless agents and dealers.
 
The Telcordia Hosted Solution for MVNOs provides features like real-time call management to help foster a positive customer experience. The deployment the Telcordia solution is expected to considerably detract from otherwise necessary capital investment in technical infrastructure, including minimizing the need to hire skilled telecom resources.  Other than the obvious financial benefit, this also facilitates speedier time to launch. 
 
Since the launch of its MVNO-specific product last year, Telcordia has signed 11 customers to the solution, which also includes elements of the Telcordia Maestro IMS Portfolio of products, services, and applications that enable carriers to offer any service, over any network, via any device.
