Minacom to Present Conference Session at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006

Michel Nadeau to Discuss VoIP QoS Network Monitoring at Leading VoIP Event in Fort Lauderdale – Broward County Convention Center

Montreal, 6 December, 2005 — Minacom today announced that Michel Nadeau has accepted an invitation to present a session titled Network Monitoring for Large-Scale VoIP at TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO East 2006 on Tuesday, January 24th at the Fort Lauderdale – Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO, held January 24-27, 2006, is the world’s largest and best-attended VoIP trade show. Last October, the show drew over 7,000 buyers and sellers of VoIP products and services to Los Angeles. For this upcoming January show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 8,000.

“Minacom is pleased to be part of this timely panel discussion on QoS monitoring for large-scale VoIP deployments. As cable MSOs and Telcos increasingly focus on competitive service offerings over IP infrastructures, providing best-in-class VoIP QoS has become a key differentiator and strategic business goal for many service providers,” commented Michel Nadeau, President & CEO of Minacom. “Service providers are now widely deploying VoIP service to their enterprise and residential subscriber base. With these initiatives, they have justified interest in solutions that monitor QoS from day-of-install through proactive, ongoing service monitoring while integrating into existing, full-scale operational support systems. The constant evolution of networks towards a converged IP infrastructure places unique demands on QoS service level test automation that must be flexible enough to adapt to a provider’s specific testing requirements, while also streamlining operations, customer support, and trouble-ticket resolution.”

“We are very pleased that Mr. Nadeau will be participating in this year’s show. Minacom is widely recognized and respected as an industry leader in QoS test and measurement, and I am confident that our attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear Michel’s perspective on the latest monitoring strategies for large-scale VoIP deployments,” said TMC president and conference co-chair, Rich Tehrani. “Over the past twelve months, widespread adoption of VoIP by global service providers, businesses and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution. As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO as a means of learning about the technology so they too can take advantage of its benefits.”
Registration for the show is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting http://www.itexpo.com. Limited booth space is still available as well. Vendors interested in exhibiting at the show should contact Dave Rodriguez at 1-203-852-6800, ext. 146 or at [email protected].
