Allen Chan, product manager, Sony Electronics Inc., has accepted an invitation to present a session entitled “Security/Surveillance Over IP” at TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2006, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.

The INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, to be held January 24 -27, is the world’s largest and best-attended VoIP trade show. Last October, the show drew more than 7,000 buyers and sellers of VoIP products and services to Los Angeles.  For this upcoming January show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 8,000.

“We’re honored to have been selected to educate and engage the industry on the benefits of IP security products and its impact on security surveillance,” Chan said.  “We hope this is just the beginning of discourse on this subject.”

TMC President and Conference Co-Chair Rich Tehrani shares the same optimistic outlook.

“We are very pleased that Allen Chan will be participating in this year’s show,” Tehrani, who also serves as editor-in-chief of TMCnet, said. “Sony is widely recognized and respected as an industry leader, and I am confident that our attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear his perspective on IP surveillance.”

“Over the past twelve months, widespread adoption of VoIP by global service providers, businesses and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution,” Tehrani added. “As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO as a means of learning about the technology so they too can take advantage of its benefits.”

Registration for the show is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting
