Richard Grigonis Named Executive Editor of INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine

Norwalk, CT (August 23, 2006) - Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) announced today that Richard ‘Zippy’ Grigonis has joined the company as its new Executive Editor for its flagship publication, INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, as well as for its two newest titles, SIP Magazine and IMS Magazine.

TMC also announced that former INTERNET TELEPHONY Editorial Director, Greg Galitzine, has been promoted to Group Editorial Director for TMC's IP Communications Group, including  TMCnet, INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, IMS Magazine, and SIP Magazine.

Richard Grigonis is an internationally-known technology editor and writer. He joins TMC after spending the past three years as Editor-in-Chief of VON Magazine. Prior to that, Grigonis spent nearly ten years as the Chief Technical Editor of CMP Media’s Computer Telephony magazine (later called Communications Convergence). The author of five books on computers and telecom (including the Computer Telephony Encyclopedia and Dictionary of IP Communications), Grigonis, who has written published articles in Dr. Dobb’s Journal, TELECONNECT and Call Center magazines, also helped design and construct a testing lab used by four CMP publications.

Grigonis is a preeminent figure in the field of embedded bus & board technologies and fault resilient computers who has won several awards for programming and has advised foreign governments and corporations on computer telephony, Voice-over-IP and call center technology. In the early 1980s he was also part of the production staff of the TV show Sesame Street.

“Richard, known in the industry as Zippy, is a fabulous addition to the TMC IP Communications Group. He has a unique perspective on the market. Very few individuals possess Richard’s deep knowledge of the technology and his keen ability to communicate highly technical information in such an understandable manner,” said Rich Tehrani.

“I’m certain readers of INTERNET TELEPHONY, SIP Magazine and IMS Magazine will appreciate Zippy’s style and the perspective he brings to important IP communications topics,” Tehrani added.

Greg Galitzine, founding editor of the three aforementioned publications, will continue to oversee the editorial direction of the magazines in addition to taking a much more active role in the editorial content of TMCnet, TMC’s leading communications and technology news Web site.

"I'm very much looking forward to the challenge of leading our fine team of editors and contributors as we add to TMCnet’s dominant position as the industry's leading online resource," explained Galitzine.
