Edgewater Networks Adds Panasonic's Suite of SIP phones to their Approved Devices List

Edgewater Networks (News - Alert) has certified that Panasonic's (News - Alert) SIP communications-based phones are interoperable with their Plug & Dial solution.


The Panasonic phones such as KX-UT113B, KX-UT123B, KX-UT133B, and KX-UT136B has achieved Plug & Dial certification on EdgeView version 11.7.2.
Using EdgeMarc ESBC and the EdgeView VoIP Support System, the Plug & Dial solution automates the provisioning of a wide variety of IP phones. This automation reduces operating expenses and improves the end-user experience for service providers delivering cloud communications services.

Edgewater Networks has even initiated the Plug & Dial Alliance program that provides interoperability testing for multi-vendor VoIP networking environments and automated setup of many leading brands of SIP-based IP phones.
This program enables service providers to make use of Edgewater Networks' Plug & Dial solution to decrease the hosted PBX (News - Alert) installation times and simplify ongoing moves and changes.
The solution utilizes intuitive voice prompts provided to the end-user to facilitate 'selfprovision,' and this process cuts down pre-staging or manual configuration of IP phones. The solution also provides notification to existing OSS or billing systems at the completion of the automated IP phone configuration.
