Exacq Technologies has announced the recent integration of IP-based surveillance cameras from JVC Professional Products Company with the exacqVision video management system (VMS) software that is used with exacqVision hybrid and IP Camera NVR servers.

"JVC is a proven leader with regards to delivering high quality video to the consumer and broadcast market," said Roger Shuman, senior marketing manager at Exacq Technologies, adding that their latest full HD network surveillance cameras deliver this same quality to the physical security industry.
A true open, cross-platform system, the exacqVision VMS software is used in video surveillance systems. The new version of this VMS software features integration with most of JVC's complete line of full HD box, mini-dome and dome security cameras.

In addition to day/night performance and indoor/outdoor housings, the model variations include H.264 compression, back light compensation, IR LEDs, PoE, vandal resistance, water/dust resistance and more, according to company officials.
Company officials said that the server software -- Windows or Linux -- is installed on exacqVision hybrid servers, incorporating analog and network cameras. In addition, it's also installed on exacqVision IP camera servers and on commercial off-the-shelf servers.
Through the free client software, which is available on Windows, Linux and Macintosh computers, every exacqVision server can be viewed and administrated. Company officials said that the client software connects to an unlimited number of exacqVision servers, regardless of the operating systems being used, and creates a scalable surveillance solution using both analog and network cameras.
Noting that today's security surveillance professional wants a best-of-breed solution, John Grabowski, national sales and marketing manager at JVC Security Division, said "We believe that JVC's new line of full HD, IP-based cameras is the perfect complement for the exacqVision VMS."
The integration with the new JVC line was created using the Onvif standard, which is designed to ensure interoperability between products regardless of the manufacturer.
Last month, Exacq announced the availability of exacqVision Edge vVMS software for installation directly on compatible IQeye IP cameras from IQinVision.
