Annual Event at Miami Beach Convention Center Draws Nearly 7,000 Professionals Buying, Selling Communications Solutions

World's largest event for the communications and technology industries closes with new milestones in programs and news generation
MIAMI, Florida - February 7, 2013  - ITEXPO Miami 2013, held for the 13th time in South Florida, wrapped up another successful event last week, welcoming 6,961 professionals to the Miami Beach Convention Center for the four-day event. Since 2001, ITEXPO Miami has been an annual gathering point for buyers and sellers of telecom and other communications and technology products and services.


ITEXPO Miami offered attendees, exhibitors, speakers, panelist, press and analysts a robust agenda throughout the week. Keynotes, conference sessions/panels and networking opportunities focused on topics from cloud computing and social media to machine-to-machine communications, unified communications, BYOD and mobile commerce. Exhibitors also noted they engaged in conversations with highly qualified decision makers actively looking for solutions and partnerships on the show floor. 
Additional event programming was offered through a series of collocated shows held in conjunction with ITEXPO, including Super Wi-Fi Summit, M2M Evolution Conference & Expo, ChannelVision (CVx) Expo, LatinComm Conference & Expo, Cloud4SMB Expo and StartupCamp7: Comms Edition.

'ITEXPO Miami continues to serve as the largest communications and technology event for enterprise, government and SMB end-users, resellers, service providers, manufacturers, developers, media and analysts,' said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman of ITEXPO. Throughout the week, companies participating at ITEXPO Miami released dozens of announcements at the event and its collocated conferences. These include announcements from:
  • Allworx (News - Alert), a Windstream company, which revealed its newest SIP mobile phone - Reach - as well as its new System Software 7.5.
  • BlackBerry, which publicly displayed its new BlackBerry 10 operating system and Z10 smartphone for the first time at ITEXPO.
  • EcoCarrier, which is expanding its IntelliDR Network by inviting individual entrepreneurs or corporations in various target countries to join the managed network as strategic partners. EcoCarrier also introduced PiFi and PiFi Services that make mobile data services for Wi-Fi-enabled devices ubiquitous and enable travelers to have the ultimate, lowest-cost way of making international voice calls while mobile roaming.
  • EION Wireless, which added a new product to its StarAccess family that extends the reach of Wi-Fi coverage to more than 3 km.
  • Genesys, which introduced Genesys Connect for Service Cloud on AppExchange, designed to deliver a seamless environment that natively leverages the Service Cloud user interface and administrative environment to ensure that the solution is quick to deploy, easy to administer and simple to use.
  • Grandstream, which introduced three outdoor weather-proof cameras ideal for surveillance applications where temperature and participation play a factor. The GXV3672_HD and GXV3672_FHD also include infrared capability for monitoring and recording in conditions where low light or no light is a factor.
  • inGate, which announced that its enterprise session border controller - the Ingate SIPerator E-SBC - has been tested and qualified in Microsoft's United Communications Open Interoperability Program for Lync Server 2012.
  • NetCitadel, Inc., which lauched OneControl Security Orchestration Platform that's reported to make current security infrastructure more dynamic and sophisticated, enabling accurate policy changes across a variety of digital environments quickly.
  • RingByName, which is collaborating with TeleDynamics and Grandstream in an effort to reach out to the lucrative phone equipment market for smaller business. Biz in a Box is a mobility solution which offers PBX telephone systems and VoIP solutions.
  • Sangoma, which introduced the Vega Enterprise SBS series and NetBorder Carrier SBC, which run on both stand-alone devices and in VM environments.
  • Sansay (News - Alert), which announced general availability of transcoding products for VoIP service providers. Sansay transcoding provides high-capacity, any-to-any audio and video transcoding, and is available in n+1 redundant configurations with sophisticated call routing capabilities. Transcoding is available via three Sansay products: TSX: Transcoding Server Switch, MST: Media Server for Transcoding, and Hosted Transcoding, delivered from Sansay's 'cloud' for trial and starter deployments.
  • Snom, which introduced the snom 7xx series, including the snom 760, 720 and 710 IP phones, which serve as ideal business solutions offering affordable, full-featured IP phones for workers at any level.
  • Telefónica, which announced its first-ever U.S.-based Channel Partner Program, giving resellers and partners the opportunity to offer a range of solutions including connectivity, cloud and M2M (machine-to-machine) platform services, from Telefónica USA and Telefónica Digital.
  • Truphone, which launched Tru App for Blackberry. Tru provides inexpensive - or in some cases free - calling via the Internet with only minimal regard for location, as long as that location has an open Internet connection.
  • UnboundID, which introduced Version 4.0 of the UnboundID Identity Data Platform that now provides enhanced data unification capabilities, increased security and real-time scalability to manage the rapidly growing volume and transactions of identity data.
  • Vitelity introduced two new offerings: FAX Enable and Lync Enable. FAX Enable allows users to shut off their fax phone line while still using your existing fax machine while adding in new features. With Lync Enable from Vitelity and equipment from Patton Electronics, companies can take advantage of low-cost voice services while also adding modern telephony services including SMS-enabled DIDs, Virtual FAX Service, Voicemail Transcription and Global DID Origination.
  • VoIP Innovations, whose newly released DID SMS service covers the US48, is billed at a flat per-message fee, and supports both inbound and outbound messaging.
  • Voxbone introduced the Voxbone Partner Program, which opens up the full resources of Voxbone and its partners -REVE Systems, AudioCodes, Matrix Telecom and future partners - to help businesses get in on international telephone and toll-free services.
