REEDFAX Patent File Histories Now Accessible from Lexis.com Patent Search Results

LexisNexis U.S. and REEDFAX recently announced that patent file histories can now be ordered directly from lexis.com patent search results. Researchers can now directly link from their lexis.com patent search results to the LexisNexis REEDFAX File History ordering page and gain access to a team of patent experts who will fulfill patent file history orders.

The official record of all public documentation relating to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) processing of specific patent applications is contained in the patent file histories. These provide a detailed view of the entire life of a patent application and are therefore a critical information source for developing effective arguments for or against patent validity.

RTIS has reportedly served as the patent database contractor supporting US Patent and Trademark Office information needs and the intellectual property community for the last 35 years. REEDFAX utilizes the extensive experience of RTIS in patents and offers quick and easy access to the USPTO office and on-site research.

“The high quality and customer service that has become the hallmark of REEDFAX, added to the quality of the LexisNexis patent research service, provides a way for customers to access a complete research solution based on the way they work, saving them time and effort,” said Peter Vanderheyden, vice president and managing director, intellectual property, LexisNexis, in a
press release.

REEDFAX is a Reed Technology and Information Services (RTIS) service. RTIS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reed Elsevier INC and a member of the LexisNexis group of companies.
