Cruse to share expertise on the future of Web animation at HTML5 conference
in July
NORWALK, Conn. - April 29, 2013 - TMC (News - Alert) and Crossfire Media today announced that Dale Cruse, author of the "HTML5 Multimedia Development Cookbook" and senior front-end developer for Allen & Gerritsen, will present at DevCon5, held July 24-25, 2013, at the Kimmel Center in New York City. DevCon5 will focus on the information and tools that enterprise, mobile and gaming developers need in order to exploit revolutionary HTML5 technology and create advanced user experiences.

At the event, Cruse will go beyond the lab to see what's possible with practical, real-world CSS3 animation.  His session, scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, will examine how to use advanced web standard motion techniques such as keyframe animation, animation delay and duration, transitions and transforms, and the data attributes to sync animation with a native HTML5 audio track to create a compelling story.
"DevCon5 is the industry's forum to demo and discuss the latest HTML5 products, services, trends and developments," said Carl Ford (News - Alert), CEO of Crossfire Media and executive director of DevCon5 Content and Community. "Animation is a critical part of the HTML5 ecosystem, and we're pleased to have Dale share his perspective on what's now and what's next in CSS3 animation."

At the start of his career as a military photojournalist and then editor at CBS News, Dale fell in love with marking up and styling great content. More than 17 years later, that's still what gets him out of bed in the morning. Dale has worked with some of the most well-known companies in the world, including 20th Century Fox, Bloomingdale's, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Liberty Mutual and Virgin Mobile (News - Alert).
Registration for DevCon5 is now open, with $395 early-bird pricing available until July 15. Companies interested in exhibiting, sponsorship or advertising packages for DevCon5 should contact TMC's Frank Coppola at 203-852-6800 x153. For media registration, contact Ashley Baster.
