Convergys (News - Alert) Corporation has announced a six-year managed services billing contract with Suddenlink Communications, an operator of cable broadband systems, serving approximately 1.4 million customers.

The contract calls for Convergys’ Consulting and Professional Services to implement and operate Convergys’ ICOMS customer care and billing platform to support Suddenlink’s video, high-speed data, digital phone, and other broadband services.

The contract also provides the option for Suddenlink to use components of Infinys, Convergys’ modular, convergent, business support system software.

Convergys’ Consulting and Professional Services team has already begun migrating Suddenlink’s customer base to ICOMS and the migration will be complete during 2007. Suddenlink officials hope ICOMS functionality will provide Suddenlink with the ability to create, sell, and support its triple play bundles with a single bill and a single view of the customer.

Earlier this year Convergys announced a "direct response contract" with Rosetta Stone, the publisher of Rosetta Stone language-learning software.

Rosetta Stone wanted Convergys to handle high volume calls with agents and a routing platform that directs calls based on the unique campaign profile. Convergys began providing inbound customer care and sales support for Rosetta Stone in December 2006.

Basically it's a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services deal for the Cincinnati-headquartered outsourced services provider.

Rosetta Stone is a popular language-learning software in the world, used by millions of people in 150 countries. The company issues products in 30 languages. Inc. Magazine has named Rosetta Stone Inc. one of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States, and for the third year Deloitte and Touche has named it one of the fasted-growing technology companies in Virginia.

In February Convergys and Tribold announced the enhancement of Convergys' Infinys Business Support System with additional product management capabilities.

Through the integration of Tribold's Product Portfolio Manager application software, Convergys will enable Communication Service Providers to centralize vital product data into a single enterprise catalog.
