NICE to Supply Solution Among the Slots

By DAVID R. BUTCHER, Assistant Editor, Customer Interaction Solutions

NICE Systems, a global provider of advanced analytics solutions, today announced that Integrated Controls, a gaming systems integrator, has chosen NICE to provide its smart digital video/audio capture and content analytics solutions for the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The deal is worth $2.5 million.

Among the croupiers, the slots-lingering purple-haired ladies and the whales at the blackjack tables, the solution will be deployed in a mass implementation spanning Isleta’s 300,000 square ft. facility — more than 1,600 slot machines and 30 gaming tables.

The solution implementation is expected to be fully deployed by the end of 2005.

NICE’s solution combines “superior video quality and the faster frame rate specifically required by gaming surveillance,” according to the company’s announcement, leveraging advanced video networking and industrial-grade content analytics in a single system. In the context of this implementation, the solution aims to enable Isleta’s security personnel to actively detect and act upon security infractions with event-driven access for review and investigation.

“The NICE solution with video analytics will enable us with instant access to view incidents that would take hours and days with an analog system,” said Randy Boynton, Director of Surveillance at Isleta, in a company statement.

Proactive security management will be fully integrated with the casino’s point of sale platform.
