Seamless P2P Networking Tests Phenomenal

Associate Editor

Seamless Peer 2 Peer — a subsidiary of Seamless Wi-Fi — provides networking solutions using proprietary, private, secure peer-to-peer (P2P) technology, allowing both companies and individuals to easily and costs effectively create private, secure peer-to-peer networks between PCs over LANs, WANs, VPNs, WiFi (News - Alert), and the Internet.

With the maturation of P2P networking, the technology has slowly begun to gain credibility in the corporate world.  Seamless P2P strives to provide a secure, cost-effective, fully featured communication, collaboration, and data transmission network solution comparable to any others available world wide.  Its solution is scalable from small home networks to the largest enterprise clients.

Its PeerSystem technology creates a private, encryption-secured P2P networking backbone, which enables corporate and home users to safely share information and data anywhere in the world through direct P2P access.

Providing stability and security for the solution is the SeamlessP2P server, which is used to connect Phenom users. All data still passes peer-to-peer, but the server helps create the connections and ensures security.  It requires virtually no overhead to maintain and uses very little bandwidth because of the solution’s P2P nature.  The servers are also available to companies that wish to maintain their private Phenom network, completely separate from the primary Phenom network.

Now, Seamless Peer 2 Peer has successfully completed testing of the voice and video transmission capability of the its Phenom 3.0 P2P Virtual Private Network software.

This latest testing represents the final step before the company launches the alpha and beta testing program for Phenom 3.0 — which is scheduled for August 1st.  The test featured audio and video conferencing conducted with four geographically diverse clients, all video chatting in real time.  The successful also puts SeamlessP2P in a position to capture a sizeable share of the market with its complete and cost effective solutions.

The tests delivered clean, clear images delivered to all testers, and the video conference features of Phenom were tested with existing collaboration and text features, allowing test clients to exchange documents and images while engaged in the video conference.

“We are very happy with our new video algorithms. Our team has done a wonderful job modifying the captured video before compression to provide the clearest and crispest image possible,” said Chris Akins CTO Seamless P2P.

Phenom 3.0 allows transparent transmission of data in conventional IP networks such that information can be shared among participants even if one or more are behind proxies, firewalls, or NATs. Phenom’s SPN Layer is a fully extensible platform that will be integrated into Phenom 3.0 as well as future Seamless products.

The Phenom platform includes:
·        Video conferencing
·        Remote control of multiple computers at once
·        Increased stability and reliability
·        Application sharing for collaboration
·        Resuming of interrupted file transfers
·        Searching for remote files
·        Transferring multiple files simultaneously
·        Monitoring remote connections and file transfers
·        Logging remote connections and file transfers
·        Uninitiated file access
·        Instant messaging
·        Business class customer support
