DTI to Deliver VoIP Services Through Agreement with Lucent and Dynavar

Lucent Technologies (News - Alert) and their sales business partner, Dynavar Corporation, have signed a contract with Digital Telecommunications Inc. (DTI), a Minnesota-based service provider. DTI will uses equipment from Lucent’s Accelerate Next Generation Communications Solutions to deliver integrated services to its business and residential customers.


 
DTI is a CLEC offering local and long-distance phone service, Internet access and data solutions to both business and residential customers in Minnesota, Iowa and parts of Wisconsin. The Lucent solution will enable DTI to expand its networks and offer advanced services like VoIP while also providing traditional telephone service.

 
Through the agreement, DTI plans to deploy a complete network solution including the Lucent Compact Switch and the PacketStar PSAX Multiservice Media Gateway, as well as additional equipment from the Lucent Stinger family of products. The VoIP solution will enable DTI to migrate to a facilities-based platform for reduced operating costs and additional revenue opportunities. Dynavar will provide network engineering, deployment and integration services for the installation, while Lucent Worldwide Services will provide maintenance.
