WildPackets Enhances VoIP Analysis PlatformTMCnet Contributing Editor VoIP analysis technology provider WildPackets introduced on Tuesday the OmniAnalysis Platform v4.0. The new version features fully integrated enhancements for Application Analysis, distributed Network Forensics Analysis and VoIP Expert Analysis.
The system supports industry-standard Apdex scores. The OmniAnalysis Platform v4.0 allows a single installation of WildPackets' technology to grow into a system that requires no additional training or new technology. WildPackets' OmniAnalysis Platform is a distributed network analysis system for optimizing network services and maximizing uptime on enterprise networks. The platform uses analytical techniques, including network forensics and application performance indexing, to troubleshoot network problems.
The platform is comprised of an integrated set of hardware and software components that range from portable deployments to the analysis of distributed networks that serve a large number of users and deliver mission-critical services. The platform provides simultaneous, real-time network analysis on traffic from multiple network interfaces, including 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 wireless, full-duplex Gigabit, and WAN.
WildPackets will provide VoIP analysis and problem diagnosis of VoIP using technology from Telchemy. The company had announced its partnership with Telchemy last week. WildPackets integrated Telchemy's VQmon/SA into its OmniAnalysis Platform to offer VoIP analysis and call quality monitoring.
VQmon/SA will offer in-depth media stream analysis and problem diagnosis of VoIP services for the OmniAnalysis Platform. This will enable WildPackets to better serve enterprise customers that are incorporating voice in their networks.
