Enterprise VoIP application provider Cistera Networks announced on Wednesday that it inked a reseller agreement which will enable Bell Canada to become the company’s Premier Solutions Partner (PSP) for the Canadian market. Bell Canada joins AT&T (News - Alert) and Comstor, a division of Westcon Group, Inc., as a Cistera PSP.

“Bell Canada is the premier Business Communication Solutions provider in Canada and has a long history of delivering value to its customers. Together with our existing joint customers and strong pipeline we expect to take an early lead in the Canadian market,” stated Greg Royal, Cistera’s executive vice president for International Operations.

The first deployment of Cistera’s products in Canada was for Richardson Partners Financial Limited, a Canadian independent wealth management firm.

“Cistera and Bell Canada have worked well together to provide a converged solution for our company giving our advisors flexibility to serve high net worth investors from anywhere they have Internet access. In our business, it’s all about servicing our clients and we view Cistera as a key partner in our development,” stated Stan Eng, chief technology officer of Richard Financial Partners Limited.

Today’s news follows Cistera’s recent announcement about it placing its IP Telephony applications in the education vertical market.

Trinity University of San Antonio, Texas deployed a Cisco IPT solution across campus including a Cisco 7960 phone in every dorm room, with each student being assigned a personal extension. They selected Cistera's enterprise application platform for IPT, the Cistera ConvergenceServer, and licensed QuickRecord to enable on demand recording of calls, and RapidBroadcast for its capability of paging to the IP phones.
