AT&T Inks Data Contract with Dealer Specialties

AT&T just inked a new, three-year contract with used vehicle data and photo collection company Dealer Specialties. Through the new agreement, AT&T (News - Alert) will offer Dealer Specialties with nationwide data connectivity through Managed Internet Service (MIS) with a managed router for its hosting center at the company's headquarters in Monroe, Ohio.

The new service will allow Dealer Specialties to better manage additional applications including Web-based inventory management tools and automotive dealer Web sites, which support the company's business.

“We have valued our relationship with AT&T since we started in 1989. AT&T has consistently delivered reliable solutions that have met our business goals,” said Dealer Specialties’ vice president and general manager George Nenni in a statement. “When it came to picking a telecommunications provider for our needs, there really was no contest.”

AT&T made news yesterday when it announced it scored a new data services contract with Arkansas-based First National Security Company, a financial services provider with 27 branch locations across the state and 3 branch locations in Oklahoma. The three-year contract calls for AT&T to implement a managed data network at all First National Bank locations, using Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Private Network Transport (PNT). With the delivery of an MPLS-based IP network, First National Security Company will implement a scalable network that will provide access to data over AT&T's MPLS-enabled IP backbone.
