PepsiCo Hires HP for Global Technology Infrastructure Management

HP has reportedly entered into seven-year global services agreement with PepsiCo Inc. to provide data center management services and infrastructure consolidation for PepsiCo International division.

As per the agreement, HP will merge PepsiCo International’s technology infrastructure into three HP data centers located in Mexico, Singapore and the United Kingdom. These data centers will support PepsiCo business operations in over 60 countries outside the United States and Canada.



Thus, HP will transform PepsiCo International into a standardized storage and server architecture that offers capability upgrades in of application management, network security, disaster recovery, asset management and operations support.

HP says that it will employ various storage and server systems, tools and software to handle PepsiCo International’s new data center environment.


Meanwhile, the food and beverage giant has chosen BT as its network provider. Experts feel that the collaboration between HP and BT will definitely facilitate service integration and improvement for the company.

John E. Evers Jr., vice president and general manager, Managed Services – Americas, HP says that their aim is to “build an IT environment that will help them become more adaptive.”

“By standardizing and optimizing its server environment, PepsiCo International can better flex to meet its changing business needs and in turn provide better service to customers anywhere in the world,” Evers said.
