Bala Tiru, Senior Product Manager, to Discuss Home Networking Management Solutions for Triple Play (News - Alert) Deployment

San Jose, California - October 10, 2006 - Bala Tiru, senior product manager at 2Wire, a provider of broadband service platforms for the DSL market, will be speaking on the “Preparing Home Networks for the Triple Play” panel during INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo, WEST, which runs October 10-13, 2006, at the Sand Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif.

The session, which will be held from 1:15 to 2 p.m. (PT) Friday, Oct. 13, will analyze the most influential trends and technologies in the digital home multimedia distribution space.


With increasing demand for broadband connectivity and home networking, a solution is required for simplified installation, configuration and management of the home network environment. Carriers are faced with providing customer support to frustrated subscribers that are burdened with complicated set-up procedures, ongoing management, and troubleshooting of networked devices that require a high degree of technical proficiency. As triple play services such as IP video are deployed, the complexity of the digital home will increase, while subscriber tolerance for service interruptions decreases.
