TMC’s Popular Communications and Technology News Web Site Reaches Milestone for Second Time this Year

Norwalk, CT [December 15, 2006] — Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) Web site, TMCnet (www.tmcnet.com), was visited by 1,021,559 unique visitors in November 2006, according to WebTrends. This is the second time in 2006 TMCnet has broken the one million mark, having been read by 1,053,840 unique visitors in April.

TMCnet is the most visited site on the World Wide Web for news, analysis and feature articles on communications and technology, including VoIP and other IP communications, CRM, contact centers, wireless, SIP and IMS.

Alexa.com, an Amazon.com (News - Alert) company that monitors and ranks sites by their daily traffic levels, currently ranks TMCnet within the top 2,500 most visited sites on the Web. With over 10 million known Web sites, this ranking places TMCnet in the top 0.025 percent of all sites in the world, ahead of many well-known sites, including those of Fortune 100 companies.

As TMC president Rich Tehrani points out, the traffic levels achieved on TMCnet are usually reserved for sites with much broader appeal than a B-to-B communications/technology site.

“If you compare traffic levels, it’s clear that TMCnet is by far the most-visited communications and technology site in the world. What’s even more amazing to me is that by reaching more than one million unique visitors in November, we have surpassed the traffic on many more consumer-driven Web sites,” explained Tehrani.

“Each day, TMCnet visitors read literally thousands of news stories, feature articles and blogs flowing through the site from around the globe. Readers know if they come to TMCnet several times each day they’ll remain completely up-to-date on communications and technology,” added Tehrani.

TMCnet serves its readers by delivering information to them in an easy-to-reference format. Site visitors can read the day’s top stories; they can view news and articles broken out by market segment or industry; or they can visit one of the many ‘TMCnet channels’, which carry news and information for highly-targeted niches within communications and technology.

Companies like Nortel, Intel, Packet8, Covad and Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) have also partnered with TMC to build 24/7 Global Online Communities on TMCnet. These focused sites use daily news, feature articles, case studies, white papers and forums to serve a community of visitors interested in collaborating about the specific topic.
