Westcon’s Comstor division will now offer IPcelerate’s (News - Alert) VoIP business systems through its network of Value-Added Resellers (VARs). The new offer will be possible thanks to an agreement reached by the companies this week.

Via the new agreement, Comstor’s VARs will now have access to IPcelerate’s IPsession and IPstudio application platforms, which are pre-configured with a suite of embedded capabilities including intelligent dial-out, call recording and 911 alert integration.

“Our partnership with Westcon Group represents a growth opportunity for both companies,” commented IPcelerate’s CEO Kevin Brown. “Comstor’s well-known expertise in IP technology along with their extensive network of highly qualified VARs is bound to open new markets for us. In turn, our pre-integrated suite of products will add value and increased revenues for their resellers and does not require custom development. We are very excited about this relationship and look forward to supporting Comstor’s sales and marketing efforts.”

IPcelerate’s officials believe that its systems could be “of interest” to Comstor’s vertically focused VARs; specially those who serve government agencies, educational and healthcare institutions, as well as retail markets.

“There are obvious synergies between IPcelerate and Comstor given our focus and expertise around our core vendor Cisco. Moreover, having a market leading applications vendor on board such as IPcelerate will help our VAR community make inroads into more convergence deals and execute at a faster rate. We are happy to be offering IPcelerate through our OneVoice program and look forward to developing mutual opportunities moving forward,” said Comstor’s vice president and general manager Jeff Smith.

Today’s news comes on the heels of IPcelerate releasing IPstudio 2.0, the company’s newest version its IP recording system for VoIP users. The new version offers enhanced capabilities in audio and video recording, monitoring, storage, as well as the introduction of video blogging. IPstudio 2.0 is fully integrated into the IPsession platform, requiring no additional configuration for the end-user.
