VoIP service provider Skype (News - Alert) has introduced Skype Pro, a plan for the European market that includes free VoIP-based calls to domestic landlines along with a set of premium Skype features and discounts on Skype Certified hardware.

Available for €2 monthly, Skype Pro will enable users to access free features such as instant messaging (IM) and transferring files, and enjoy video calling between Skype users and conference calling for up to 10 participants or joining in Skypecasts (live moderated conversations with up to 100 people). Skype Pro users can also use the service to make free calls from one Skype account to another.

The Skype Pro subscription package also includes free Skype Voicemail; €30 in discounts on SkypeIn numbers; €5 in Skype Credit included as part of the introductory offer; €30 in discounts on a Philips VoIP 841 cordless phone; and €10 in discounts on an SMC WiFi phone.

Skype Pro will first be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the UK. The company plans to launch the plan in other countries worldwide later this year.
