In the highly competitive world of mobile telecommunications, voice quality is a distinguishing element.

To offer their customers optimal voice quality, Oi, a mobile telecommunications company in Brazil offering a GSM network, turned to Ditech Networks (News - Alert) for their Quad Voice Processor (QVP) and Voice Quality Assurance (VQA) software. The solutions will improve the calling experience for their customers and will offer better network capacity.

Ditech Networks Quad Voice Processor (QVP) is designed for wireless voice quality applications and is a four port voice processor system

Their Voice Quality Assurance (VQA) software provides improved voice quality with features for reduced noise, enhanced voice intelligibility, voice level control and clarity as well as echo control and echo cancellation.

With the software in place, Oi is able to increase voice quality and offer their customers improved service. For customers this offers an experience that is unforgettable with hopes of creating the much sought-after 'loyal' customer who not only stays with the company but brings along other new subscribers as well.

"Ensuring high voice quality is essential to building customer loyalty. At the same time, we must be able to scale network capacity without compromising quality. The Ditech VQA solution enables us to meet our customers' expectations for excellent call quality and build on that loyalty to attract new customers—while minimizing infrastructure changes and capital expenditures," commented Mr. Antonio Parrini Pimeta, Network Director of Oi in a statement to the press.

Ditech Networks also recently announced their financial results for the fiscal 2007 third quarter. According to a news release on the results, revenues increased from by $8.1 million or 58 percent to $22.1 million for the third quarter, in comparison to the same quarter last year which had revenues of $14.0 million.
