Airlink Mobile Offering Prepaid Wireless Phones

Wireless products and services provider Airlink Mobile now offers prepaid wireless phones to meet the needs of customers who do not want a contract or whose credit was turned down by major carriers.

Researches show that almost 35% of Americans are not qualified to get post-paid contracts. These include students, youth, fixed income seniors, immigrants, and other credit-challenged individuals.

"Cell phones aren't Ferraris, and consumers and dealers alike are fed up with being treated like they aren't good enough to get one," said David Stanek, president and CEO of Airlink Mobile, in a statement. "A tremendous portion of the population does not qualify for cell phone post paid contracts. So we offer an alternative that will work for them and provide incredible value to the independent dealer."

The company’s mobile handsets offers features that are available to postpaid units such as ultra-thin color flip phones, two-way text messaging, voice dialing, polyphonic ringtones, speaker phone, alarm, downloadable wallpaper, and calculators.

Analysts predict that the prepaid wireless market will grow up to 600% in the next 3 years and almost 31 million subscribers by the end of 2008. In Asia and Europe, 80 percent of mobile users prefer prepaid over postpaid due to credit challenges and control over wireless expenses.
