SafeNet Extends Partnership with Senetas

SafeNet (News - Alert), Inc., a key player in the information security market, has extended its manufacturing accord with Sanetas, the reputed provider of high-speed network encryption hardware.


 
SafeNet has an agreement with Sanetas for the manufacture of its high-speed network encryption hardware and the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to extend this agreement.
 
The agreement allows SafeNet to continue to produce and distribute globally, the worlds only FIPS Certified Ethernet Encryption products and the FIPS accredited High Speed ATM and SONET products.
 
"This MOU will continue SafeNet's industry leading position as reliable source for product delivery, manufacturing, on-going technical support, maintenance, and roadmap commitments to global customers," said Andy Solterbeck, vice president of product management, Commercial Security Division, SafeNet. "As the only Senetas partner able to offer FIPS Certified Encryptors, SafeNet will continue to lead the market in innovative technology solutions."

The partnership between SafeNet and Senetas dates back to the year 2003, when the two companies began offering SafeNet products to international governments and commercial organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense.
 
The twenty-year-old company SafeNet specializes in hardware, software, and chips based on encryption technologies to protect communications, intellectual property and digital identities.
 
SafeNet boasts a range of elite customers including UBS, Nokia, Fujitsu, Hitachi, ARM, Bank of America, NetGear, the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, Adobe, Samsung (News - Alert), Texas Instruments and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
