Putting Some Backbone in the Cloud

While the IT industry is going through a revolutionary phase in terms of technological developments, many companies are not able to leverage the benefits of the technology to the fullest.

The uncertain economy has forced many IT companies curb their expenses and stop or postpone their IT projects. To acquire a software license, the company has to pay a hefty amount. To install and maintain the software, the company needs vast IT resources and related investments. Despite these investments, the company may not perform in the desired manner because the infrastructure is not competitive or up to date.

Cloud computing, also known as software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)), is the technology of the century that addresses all the concerns related to deployment and running of IT services. In a recently published whitepaper, OpSource explained the advantages of cloud computing and details various technologies and services that provide companies with convenient and on-demand access to a variety of computing resources in a cost-effective manner.

A cloud operations provider, OpSource offers “more than managed hosting,” said John Rowell, CTO, OpSource.

OpSource’s technology combines technical, application and business operations into one integrated Web solution that handles application management, compliance and business services to allow their customers to focus on their application expertise and selling products. The solution is suitable for all types of businesses including customers new to SaaS, those transitioning to the on-demand model and established on-demand software companies.

To read more about this technology, go to the whitepaper Putting Some Backbone in the Cloud published by NTT America (News - Alert). The whitepaper also features NTT (News - Alert) America, OpSource’s network partner, giving the details of their network technology and its benefits. Network speed was one of the main factors behind the company’s choice of NTT, the white paper said.
