TMC's (News - Alert) Newest Conference Launches in New York City to Help Enterprises Secure their Precious Data in the Mobile Era

NORWALK, CT - March 28, 2013 - TMC today announced that the inaugural SecureIT conference will take place at the Kimmel Center at New York University, July 23, 2013, in New York, New York. The conference program is structured around why accommodating BYOD and securing their use is business critical.
'The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) explosion has transformed how all of us work and live, said Peter Bernstein, SecureIT conference chair and TMC senior editor. 'There is no turning back. In the process it has changed the paradigm for IT managers on how to address enterprise security. IT Managers are now faced with two challenges. The first is that traditional defenses are woefully insufficient, bad actors abound and the frequency and sophistication of their attacks is increasing, and end users want what they want, when, how and where they want it and are increasingly taking measures into their own hands by bypassing IT thereby ratcheting up exposure of critical assets to risks that can cause fast and sometimes irrevocable damage. The second is making the business case to executive management on why the need to invest in new security measures is not only necessary, but will protect the actual existence of their organization going forward. This event is part of a critical dialog on what can and should be done to protect the enterprise in the BYOD world and enable IT managers to effectively communicate the dire need for corporate management to invest in the security and survival of their company.'

Those with expertise surrounding security issues are invited to propose a speaker and/or topic by completing this form. Visit the website for complete details. Please contact Peter Bernstein at [email protected] or 203-852-6800, x165 with any questions.
'With BYOD becoming the norm rather than the exception, the job of managing the security of these disparate devices falls on corporations who must stay one step ahead to protect customer data, ensure compliance and maximize productivity,' said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), TMC CEO.
Registration for the SecureIT conference is now open and early bird rates are in effect. The conference pass includes admission to conference sessions, all meals and networking events.
