Maximizer Software Inc., a vendor of customer relationship management (CRM) and contact management products, today announced that Kapow Technologies, a portal and content integration platform provider, has selected Maximizer Enterprise over Salesforce.com (News - Alert).

The company chose Maximizer Enterprise to support its growth targets, according to company officials.

With its headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Kapow Technologies styles itself a “provider of a new paradigm for the integration of disparate information sources.” English translation to follow soon, I guess.

Ah, here we go: “The company's Web Integration Platform enables flexible and fast integration of content, data and applications into portals, content management systems, applications, databases or Web services,” company officials say.

Kapow selected Maximizer Enterprise for its “documented integration success, proven scalability and best-in-class total cost of ownership.”

A key component of Kapow Technologies' go-to-market plan centers around mobile access to a comprehensive customer information database. Maximizer Enterprise eCRM will allow Kapow Technologies' regional sales representatives to access the system residing in corporate headquarters through a browser from any Internet connection.

And while on site at a customer or prospect location, the same sales representative can access the system via their wireless PDA device. Integration to Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook is provided, and the company's sales managers can track the pipeline with an executive dashboard and integrated reporting from Business Objects Crystal Reports XI.

In April Kapow Technologies, in lieu of numbers, reported “another strong quarter, gaining significant momentum in customer and partner acquisition, as well as product development.”

Glenn Hasen, CEO of Kapow Technologies said in the quarter “we set another company record for new customers in a single quarter, and completed our largest deployment to date.”

The company derives a significant percentage of its sales through strategic alliances with leading software companies including BEA Systems (News - Alert), Oracle (News - Alert), and AttachmateWRQ.
