Manx Telecom Gains BABT Approval with Cerillion Billing

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Cerillion Technologies has announced that Manx Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of O2 and part of the Telefonica group, has gained BABT approval for its billing.

British Approvals Board of Telecommunications (BABT) is the standard that gives customers an assurance of accuracy in billing and pricing for telecommunications products and services.

Manx worked with Cerillion to evaluate the existing billing operation, and identify and correct any areas that didn’t meet the conditions laid down by the BABT Standard. Approval was achieved in a comparatively short timeframe when Manx demonstrated high levels of accuracy and consistency required in the bill production process.

“Gaining approval was a condition of our new Telecom license,” commented Mike Dee, Director of Finance, Manx Telecom in a press release. “Cerillion’s billing software supports all our fixed and mobile services and has played a vital role in us achieving this compliance.”
