How the Internet Has Changed Global Industry

The Internet has changed everything. Almost all industry sectors have changed and some of them may have seen little change, but they are not at all free from Internet influence. Take agriculture, for example. Overall, this industry is not affected; farmers cultivate their farmland not using computers, however much of the marketing of global agricultural products is now done through the Internet. Using the virtual network, the agricultural entrepreneurs can reach more potential buyers. In other words, the Internet has really revolutionized the world.

In other sectors, the Internet dominates not only marketing, but the core of the industry itself. For the past two decades, we have seen many emerging industries that all rely on virtual networks as the core of their performance. One example is the gambling industry. Gambling is a form of human tradition rooted thousands of years of history. Gambling can’t be separated from human desire itself – humans have the instinct to pit their fate in order to get something of great value.

Today, various online gambling sites have almost completely replaced conventional casinos. Gambling players do not have to spend much time on the road just to get to the casino and play. They can play anytime and anywhere they want, using their computers or even their mobile devices. This phenomenon is evident in Brazil, where many conventional casinos have lost many of their loyal customers. Many Brazilian gamblers have been turning to online gambling sites, like NetBet Brazil, because they feel more comfortable playing online. By playing online they do not encounter classic distractions, such as bullying, noise from casino visitors who often interfere with playing concentration, additional costs associated with food and drink, and so forth.

The banking sector also experienced an online revolution marked by the emergence of various types of electronic transfers and even online banks, such as PayPal (News - Alert), which dominates many sectors of modern industry associated with the ease of sending and receiving money without being limited by geography. Today, we can send payments to someone who lives on another continent in just a few seconds!

In the stock trading sector, the Internet is also changing, or rather overhauling, the traditional platform. Anyone can participate in commodity futures trading independently through smartphones. A decade ago, commodity futures trading could only be done in official brokerage offices and could only be accessed through a fairly complicated bureaucracy.

And of course, the retail industry is now dominated by online commerce and one of the best examples is the collaboration between Walmart and Amazon. From these facts we can conclude that the industrial world has really changed and all the traditional obstacles seem to be completely void.
