CRM news announced recently:

Avectra, vendor of Web-based association management software and Forrester Research analyst Liz Herbert will host a one-hour Webinar today at 2:00 Eastern titled "Lessons Learned: Selecting and Implementing Association Management Software."

Herbert is an analyst on Forrester's Enterprise Applications research team and an authority on customer relationship management (CRM) trends, strategies and best practices.

The Webinar will address how AMS helps organizations dramatically improve their relationship management and marketing efforts, best practices of implementation and user adoption of a software solution and mistakes commonly made by member-based organizations of all sizes and how to avoid them.

Herbert will also be available for a live question and answer session following the presentation. In addition, all registrants will receive a free copy of Forrester's new report, "Best Practices for CRM Deployment," outlying ten deployment tips used by leading organizations to ensure the success of their CRM initiatives.

LexisNexis Interface Software has announced that London-based law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has selected InterAction as the firm's client relationship management (CRM) product.

InterAction is a CRM platform marketed as delivering “firm-wide Relationship Intelligence.”

Lewis Silkin LLP, which has 250 staff, is planning to integrate InterAction with Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook, Axxia's Arista practice management system, Hummingbird's DM5 document management system and other Microsoft Office applications to provide lawyers and staff with one environment for access to business information directly from their desktop environment.

Cisco Systems (News - Alert) has announced that GATI, an Indian express cargo company, has selected Cisco-powered integrated Wide Area Network that connects over 400 locations (120 Locations through Terrestrial Links and the remaining through Remote Access Server (RAS) or through Internet) across the country for running centralized web-based applications.

Gati has upgraded its legacy network and built an integrated communications architecture that can run ERP, CRM and Warehouse Management systems along with other web-based services.
In addition to data traffic, Gati Net also runs the Voice over IP (VoIP) over Cisco IP Phones and Call Manager for connecting domestic as well as international locations.

The Cisco network integrates all key products like GEMS and CRM, and supports other applications such as the Warehouse Management System, Centralized Mail Server (Lotus Notes) and an interactive customer portal.
